Here at Frazier, we deal with very few suppliers, but we deal with good suppliers. You know, I don't want 25 different suppliers out there. I want two or three good suppliers.
Master Chemical is one of our best suppliers, and that's why we stick with them. I started here in '88, and we actually shared a building with Master Chemical, and that's how our relationship kind of got started.
We have had other customers come in with fluids. We've tested them. You know, you always have a walk-in guy: "Hey, I got a bucket of coolant. You want to try it?" They just don't perform like Master Fluid.
The way machining is going has changed so much. Everything's faster and faster and faster, and Master Chemical keeps up with the speeds and the feeds and the depths of cuts. They keep up with everything that changes.
They're constantly testing coolant. They're constantly coming out with better products, and that's what you need in a business like we're doing.
They've solved all sorts of problems for us. Whether our coolant might not have been strong enough or maybe it was too strong, it's just a phone call away. Once you talk to a chemist or somebody over there, they can tell you exactly the problem and the solution.
A great supplier to me is somebody that answers the phone when you call and gives you a solution to your problem. Even if it's something that they might not have, they can give you guidance.
Our tools today last 10 times longer than they did 38 years ago, and Master Chemical has helped tremendously with that.
They're just so helpful, friendly, and very knowledgeable in what they do.
